George Eliot Hospital (GEH) has been working with Helpforce since July 2021 to develop a Back to Health pathway. The aim of a Back to Health pathway is to provide wrap-around volunteer support to help people to wait well, get well, recover well and live well. In partnership with Helpforce, the team at GEH has developed existing and new volunteer roles to help meet the hospital's and patients' needs.
A wealth of activity has taken place as part of the Back to Health pathway at GEH, up to the end of September 2023. The full detail can be found in the report available to download below, which also contains the vast amount of learning and development that has occurred, along with top tips for any organisations thinking of implementing their own Back to Health pathway.
